Drug effect is depend on bioavailability of preparation and also bioavailability is largely depend on dissolution rate. As matter of the fact, this paper was attempted to evaluate bioavailability of preparations for drug choice among many preparation from the dissolution test and content uniformity test of commercial prednisolone tablets. The dissolution test was conducted in artificial gastric juice, in artificial intestinal juice and in aquas using basket method with six prednisolone preparations (A, B, C, D, E and F) which were pharmaceutically equivalent. The results were as follows ; 1) The dissolution rate was higher in the order of six different brands A¡µC¡µF¡µB¡µE¡µD. 2) Content uniformity of six different brands was better in such order as F¡µA¡µB¡µE¡µD¡µC. 3) There was no relationship between dissolution rate and content uniformity.
